We look forward to welcoming you aboard the Harry Potter Bus Tour.Your Harry Potter Filming Locations Bus Tour begins at Embankment. Here, your expert English-speaking guide, a dedicated Harry Potter fan who has read all the books and watched all the films, will greet you as you step on board the bus that will transport you around London.
With a professional driver at the wheel, you’ll enjoy a smooth and safe journey—far better than Ernie Prang’s chaotic ride on the Knight Bus in The Prisoner of Azkaban. You can leave your belongings in your seat when stepping off the bus. Don’t forget to bring a camera for magical photo opportunities.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share behind-the-scenes stories and exclusive film trivia from all eight films. Some locations will be seen from the bus, while others will be explored on foot. You’ll alight the bus two times to get a closer look at key sites—perfect for taking photos or even recreating your favourite scenes.
Along the way, you’ll also pass some of London’s most famous sights, including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Leadenhall Market, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the breathtaking view from Lambeth Bridge. Your guide will also test your knowledge of the Harry Potter films, so be ready to win some House points.
The Harry Potter Bus Tour concludes back at Embankment Station. There is a public toilet / bathroom at the start / end point of the tour. The tour operates rain or shine, so we recommend bringing comfortable shoes, a bottle of water, and an umbrella. If you’d like to continue your Harry Potter adventure or explore more of London including Platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross, just ask your guide for recommendations.
Please meet your guide 10 minutes before the start of the tour. To get to the meeting point go to Embankment Station (Northern, District & Circle Lines). When leaving the station take the river side exit and turn left along the Embankment until you see the big purple double decker Routemaster bus. See photos below for details.
